Family Programme Summary

Morning English lessons for children and adults in separate classes (Monday to Friday)

Afternoon activities on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with children and adults in their own groups

Wednesday half-day family excursion after lessons

Saturday full-day family excursion to London or Cambridge

Evening activities for children every Tuesday and Friday

The whole family stays together in a private en-suite studio at Ryegate House

Experienced welfare team and a certificate on completion

Sunday: free family day, or an optional upgrade to the Sunday London excursion

The Colchester Family Programme brings the whole family to ILC Colchester, a beautiful Victorian building with a lovely garden. Children join our summer school while adults join our English Main Course, at the same school and at the same time.

Mornings are for lessons and afternoons are for activities in your own groups. Every Wednesday and Saturday you explore England together as a family.

Colchester is Britain’s oldest recorded town, with Roman walls and a Norman castle. It is safe and friendly for families, and everything is within walking distance. London is 45 minutes away by train, and London Stansted Airport is just 40 minutes away.
