Victorious Festival has always impressed festival-goers with theirimpressive line-ups since its foundation in 2011. Since then, the festival hashosted iconic Indie bands such as Two Door Cinema Club,drum and base bands such as Rudimental, and even classic bands from the1980’s such as New Order. Last year, the festivalcontinued to welcome big names in music such as Paolo Nutini, Bastilleand Sam Fender. It seems that 2023 will be even more promising,with the announcement of Ellie Goulding, Mumford and Sons,and even Manchester rock legend Johnny Marr.

A perfect location for a festival.

Not only is the festival within walking distance from ILC PortsmouthLanguage school, it is also not far from Portsmouth and Southsea station. Asthe festival is in Southsea, there are also many hotels that are within a 10minute radius. You can go to the festival with your classmates, your hostfamily, or you can even invite your friends over for the weekend ! Anotherfantastic reason as to why the location is perfect is that it is next to thebeach. So if you want to take a break from all the music, you can head towardsthe beach, have a picnic with your friends and enjoy the calmness of the sea.

The festival is environmental-friendly

Throughout the years, the festival hascontinuously improved their impact on the environment. Bins can be found aroundthe park, a team of litter pickers are also placed around the site and workthroughout the festival. In recent years, the festival has become “drastic onplastic”, in order to eliminate all nonessential single-use plastic such asstraws, food packaging and plastic cups. Furthermore, cup return stations arecan also be found all around the park. So if you have finished using your cup,you can return it!

What else to do at the festival.

At the festival, you can also take a strolldown Market Way were there are rows of stands between the Common and CastleStages. There, you can find the perfect souvenir for your visit, whether it isa crafty item or merchandise of the festival produced locally. If you arehungry, there are also food stands that are scattered around the market. If youare thirsty, there are many bar stations around the festival. However, if youwant to sit down and relax at a cafe, you can do that as well as there areplenty of cafes and coffee shops in the area.
