PCTO Employability and life skills courses

Course Overview

ILC International Language Centres offers PCTO Employability and Life Skills courses to school groups throughout the year. These English study programmes are designed to support students in developing practical employability skills, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving and career orientation, while improving their English language proficiency in areal-world context. Delivered in line with Italian PCTO (Percorsi per leCompetenze Trasversali e per l’Orientamento) requirements, ILC’s courses combine focused English lessons, project-based learning, cultural activities and safe accommodation, providing students with a meaningful educational experience that prepares them for future academic and professional pathways.

Life skills, CV writing, interview preparation, presentation skills
Project-based learning: Real-world application through Dragon's Den-style projects and     local business interviews

Activity & Excursion programme

Afternoon activities: visits to cultural and historical sites like Colchester Castle & Firstsite

Excursions available to destinations such as London & Cambridge
Full-day excursions such as Oxford, Bristol and Cardiff, for broader cultural exposure

Work Experience programmes available

If you are looking for work experience, ILC offers students the opportunity to volunteer with a UK charity in the afternoons after classes finish. Work experience programmes include 15 hours of volunteering per week.
